LOSS OF U.S.A. ARMY SUPPLIES

NEW YORK, June 26.

The U.S. War Department disclosed .that over half a million tons of planes, tanks and other army supplies were lost at sea during the European war, when one hundred' and five American ships were sunk, and ten others were damaged, while carrying supplies to Europe. Submarines are credited with sinking 77 of the ships, and mines six, while eight were lost in bombings. The figures released do not include the Pacific losses or European intratheatre losses'.
