AREAS TO BE SPECIALLY STATE AIDED (Rec. 5.5) LONDON, June 25 The “Daily Mail” states: The tour largest industrial areas in Britain — Tyneside, and Teeside, West Cum norland, the industrial belt of South Wales and Monmouthshire, and the Scottish industrial . belt including Dundee, have been scheduled as development areas, for special assistance under the new distribution of the Industries Act. War production has provided large employment in these areas,' which now need the stimlus of new peace-time industries. A representative of the Board of Trade stated that 19 large standard factories, built at Government expense, are nearing completion in these areas, where preference will be given to the manufacture of urgently needed goods such as clothing, baby wear, prams, nylon fabrics, radio sets, clocks, upholstery and aluminium wear.
