YUGOSLAVS SEEK POSSESSION. (Rec.vll.lo). LONDON, May 13. A British United Press correspondent in Rome stated: Marshal Alexander conferred with Professor Botiomi, Prime Minister of Italy, concerning the occupation of Trieste. Presumably Professor Bonomi appealed for the outright Allied occupation of Trieste. Ari Exchange Telegraph correspondent at Rome says: The news from Trieste and the surrounding territory becomes daily more alarming, with reports of wholesale arrests and deportations of Italians by the Yugoslav forces. Yugoslavs continue to enter the Trieste territory, with armoured cars and artillery, with which they are occupying all - strategic points. A Russian military mission has also arrived in Trieste. The Sofia radio announced that the Bulgarian Army has linked up with the British Bth. Army. A Yugoslav communique says: Our troops advancing towards Austria, occupied Maribor and Brcko. They destroyed German groups still offering resistance. Yugoslav troops on May 10 and 11 killed 2,800 and took prisoner 1,570.
