Objection to the abandonment of the practice of having sugar customers register with grocers was yesterday expressed by the secretary of the N.Z. Grocers’ Federation (Mr. R. M. Barken) at Auckland, who said that the cutting and counting of coupons would involve more work than registration, and added that the tea rationing method was unsatisfactory for retailers and rationing officials.
