ROME’S CHIEF RABBI
Becomes a Catholic (Rec. 8.30) LONDON, Feb. 15 There has been a unique ceremony held in the Basilica of Santa Maria, in Rome, when Professox’ Israel Zolli, the Chief Rabbi of Rome and his wife were received into the Catholic Church. The Rabbi’s conversion is said to be due to the examples of charity which the Catholic Church has shown particularly during the Fascist persecution of the Jews.
