ARAB NATIONS

UNITY MOVEMENT. (Rec. 10.10). LONDON, February 15. All of the Arab States would shun any foreign Power standing in the way of the independence of any Arab State, declared the Egyptian Foreign Minister, Mahmoud’ Nokrashi Pasha, when as President, he was addressing the conference of the Foreign Ministers of the Arab countries. A British United Press correspondent in Cairo says: Nokrashi’s statement is taken as a warning, chiefly addressed to France, should she try to prevent Syria and Lebanon from attaining complete independence. The conference hopes to frame the statutes of the proposed Arab League of Nations.

Nokrashi added: “People will understand that the mission of the Arabs remains one of peace and fraternity. The world will understand that the United Arab Nations were not formed to destroy and conquer, but to help each other on a basis of justice and liberty for all.”
