N.Z. AWARDS
AWARDS FOR N.Z. NAVAL MEN P.A. WELLINGTON, November 22. Advice has been received from the Admiralty that the King has approved of the award of the Distinguished Service Cross to temporary Lieutenant Neil Watson and temporary Lieutenant Tudor Egmont Atkinson, R.N.Z.N.V.R., for good service in action with the enemy while protecting the passage of troops and supplies to Normandv beaches. The next-of-kin respectively are:, father Mr. J'. F. Watson, Paraparaumu, and mother, Mrs. A. Atkinson, Lower Hutt. The award of mention in Despatches to Acting-Temporary/Lieut. Donald Cameron, R.N.Z.N.V.R. whose mother K Mrs. C. Cameron, Wellington, has also been approved by FI’S Majesty.
