A motion of condolence with the relatives of Henry Blackmun and James Buchanan, former members or tfhe band, was carried in silence at the annual meeting of the Grey Highland Pipe Band last evening. -

The engagement is announced of Betty, third daughter of SergeantMajor and Mrs S. Gladstone, of Gladstone, to Leo, second son of Mr ana Mrs W. Robertson, Mill Street, Runanga.

Mr C. E. Vigers, Assistant Traffic Manager, Railways Department, who is visiting- the West Coast on official business, left yesterday afternoon tor Westport.

Pilot Officer Douglas George Twidle, of Hokitika, where his wife. Mrs I. V. Twidle, resides, is included in a list of R.N.Z.A.F.. personnel vesterday reported missing on air operations.
