MINING UNITY IN BRITAIN
London cables, last week reported that Miners’ delegates, at a conference, decided tb form a new National Union of Mineworkers with a membership of more than 600,000 and a bank balance of nearly £500,000.
Weekly contributions to the new Union were fixed at fourpence-half-penny a week for men and twopencehalfpenny for youths and women.
