OIL AGREEMENT
BETWEEN BRITAIN AND U.S.A.
WASHINGTON, Aug 8. Britain and .America have signed a formal agreement designed as a foundation. for a world oil accord to provide an equitable distribution of petroleum supplies to all peaceable countries at fair prices, on a non-discnmin-atory basis. The agreement proposes an international petroleum commission, with four American and •our British members to formulate plans for an international conference to consider the negotiation of a worldwide petroleum accord. The agreement pledges both countries to consult other interested Governments, with a view to taking whatever action is necessary.
