GERMAN VESSEL TURNED

LONDON, June 18.

A report from Ankara says that the German vessel Cassel which took part in the operations at Sebastopol, has turned back to the Black Sea after the Turkish Government had refused her permission to pass through the Dardanelles. The Cassel arrived .at Istanbul ten days ago bound for the Adriatic. On examining her the Turkish Government decided that she was fitted for use as an armed merchant cruiser or a landing craft.
