According to a Naw announcement nil efforts to recondition the Iner "Normandie” have been abandoned until after the war, because of shortages of manpower and the necessary materials. . A . . The “Normandie at present is in a Brooklyn shipyard to which it was taken on November 3, after four million dollars had been spent on ra sing her from the bottom of the Hudson River. ■ ■
