Allies Bomb Eight Places

(Rec. 11.40.) LONDON. June 7. An Allied communique from Italy states: “Strong forces of Allied heavy bombers on Tuesdav attacked oil refineries in. the Polesti area, and also railway yards in Brasov and Pi-x testi. Thirty-four enemy ’planes were destroyed during the dav for tne loss of sixteen Allied heavy bombers and seventeen other ’planes. We flew more than 2 300 sorties.
