TAKEN BY FRENCH COMMITTEE.
ALGIERS, May 15. ! The French Consultative Assembly ’ unanimously agreed to rename the French Committee of National Liberation as “The Provisional Govern- , ment of France”; and also unanimously passed a vote of confidence in General de Gaulle and the Provisional Government. General de Gaulle told the Assemblv that France did not consider herself bound by the agreement between Admiral Darlan and the American General, Clark, giving the Allies far-reaching control of the ports and communications in North Africa.
