WORK ON GROUNDS.

Advice was yesterday received from Hon. J. O’Brien, Member for the District, as follows: “The Minister of Education, Hon. H. G. R. Mason, has to-day advised me that a' grant has been approved for the reconditioning of the Blaketown School grounds, in accordance with my representations.” iRAIL-CAR iSERVICE. Hon. J. O’Brien has now been informed by the Minister of Railways, Hon. R. Semple, that in order to meet the convenience of visitors to the hospitals, arrangements have been made fox- the 4.25 p.m. rail-car from Hokitika to stop at Seaview station.
