FOUND GUILTY OF ATTEMPTED MURDER. P.A./ PALMERSTON N.. Mav 12. In the Supreme Court. Mr. Justice Finlav sentenced William»! Robert Alfred Holis. 61. sheepfarm manager, of Pori, near Pahiatua, to seven years’ hard labour on a charge of attempted murder of Godfrev Nev’lle Green, on which charge accused was found guilty last week. Hollis was also sentenced to three vears’ hard labour on a charge of unlawful carnal knowledge of a girl under 16 ’•ears of age the terms to be concurrent-' The Judge, in referring to the attempted murder, said accused was fortunate he was not facing a more serious count.
