QUEST FOR STATE AID. p.A WESTPORT, May 3. A meeting was held to-night of people affected bv Saturday’s stoim. It was decided to request the immediate presence of Hon. P. . C. Webb a d a Treasury official in Westport The meeting heard the conditions of the proposed Government loans In Jthese, it was stated, sympathetic treatment would be forthcoming in regard to repayment. An opinion freely expressed was that money, collected for 1929 earthquake repairs and not. spent should be now released, or that wax damage funds be made available. It was pointed out that the Act definitely covers only war or earthquake damage.
