. —«o — [Our Own Correspondent]. The Annual Winter Show will take place in the Public Hall here on Wednesday next. A good number' .of people is expected from the outlying districts. The Wataroa Sports Club intend holding theix’ annual meeting on Saturday, May 13. Constable Pawsy, of Wataroa has been busy in this district for the past couple .of clays trying to round up the stray cattle and horses. Mr. M. Connolly who has been on a visit to Christchurch returned last week.
Mr. J. Martini has returned home after visiting Christchurch. Mr. and Mrs. Alex Robertson and family were''recent visitors to Hokitika. Miss H. White left last week for Auckland. :
Lieut. J. Connolly formerly .of Dunedin and now of the armed forces is on a visit to his brothel’ Mr. R. Connolly. ' Mr and Mrs R. Connolly and daughter’ leave here at the end of the week for Christchurch, where they will reside. .
