Two members of the ,New Zealdna Press Delegation to Britain, Messrs Whitlock and Freeth, extended fneir tout- to include a short visit to „ New Zealand troops in Italy- Upon arrival by ’plane frim Algiers “hey stayed at the New Zealand Club at Bari and visited an advanced base. They spent a few days with the division in the field as the guests of Sir Bernard Freyberg’s mess, and several times went to forward areas, where they saw much shelling and bombing around Cassino.

Both editors saw service in the last war and were keenly interested in the methods and weapons employed in this one. Among the many people they met were senior officers at the Fifth Army Headquarters. They are returning to England by ’plane.
