In recognition of services rendered in the present war the King has directed that in future certain British decorations will be awarded to pern sonnel of the Indian fighting forces, states a New Delhi message. Thesedecorations include the Military Medal, the Conspicuous Gallantry Medal, the Distinguished Service Medal, and the Distinguished Flying Medal. German soldiers at Copenhagen trapped Victor Larsen, Danish Communist, and a companion, into promising to aid a German soldier who pretended he wished to desert to Sweden, says- a Stockholm message. Both Larsen and his companion were killed bv rifle-fire. The first report of the AngloAmerican Caribbean Commission, just issued, makes it clear, states the Colonial Office, that a most promising start lias been made in this sphere of Anglo-American co-opera-tion. Among the immediate tasks was the stimulation of local pi eduction of food. The Commission’s work has largely centred around wartime problems, but this does not mean that long-term plans are neglected. Manv matters that reciuire long-range approach are already having attention. ,
