REEFTON NOTES
[Our Own Correspondent], Mr. and Mrs. Frank Absalom are on a visit to Nelson. Mrs. N. Osbourne and family of Christchurch are spending a holiday m Reefton. Mr. and Mrs. Fleming who have been the guests of Mr. and Mrs. C. Haldane have returned to Dunedin. Mr. s. Spence of Christchurch, accompanied by her daughter is visiting her aunt, Mrs. Beresford-Wilk-inson.
Mrs. R. Rowley and children are the guests of Mrs W. Chandler, Crampton Road. Matron Whisker leaves on Monday for the North Island, where she s ? e nd her annual holiday 1 . Miss Maud Williams on Friday underwent an operation at the Hospital. Miss D. Strachan and Mrs. M. Malpass leave on Monday for Picton. Private L. Eager and Mrs. Eager are visiting the former’s parents. Mr. Jas Banks has entered the Christchurch Hospital to undergo further treatment.
The electric power failed on Friday evening in certain areas. The staff had it restored as soon as it was possible.
