BANANAS RAISE £9

. LONDON, Nov. 27. A New Zealand airman,, FlightSergeant S. A. Bain, R.N.Z.A.F., recently arrived in London from North Africa with 14 bananas and three lemons. He suggested that they be raffled among the staff ot the New Zealand Forces Club, the Prisoner of War Packing Centre, the Military and Air Force Headquarters, the Army Base Post Office .and New Zealand House. The sum of £9 was raised, and a cheque for thfis amount has been sent to the Red Cross. This brings the New Zealand House contribution to the Pennv-a-Week Fund to nearly £lOO.
