LABOUR GAINS
W.A. ELECTIONS The Western Australian Labour Government, which has held office continuously since April 24, 1933, was returned with an increased majority in the State elections held at the end of November. All sitting Labour members were re-elected and the winning of three additional seats from the Tories gave the Labour Government a majority of 10 in a House of 50. Seats gained by Labour were: — Avon, Greenough and Nelson.
