None Too Happy PRIME MINISTER’S WARNING (Rec. 11.5) NEW YORK. Jan. 6. The Tokio official radio stated that General Tojo, Prime Minister of Japan, in a speech gave a warning to high Government officials that a feeling of unhappiness and cheerlessness was rising among the people. This, he said, has come “as living conditions become more difficult, and as wartime sufferings and hardships mount.’’ He added; “I feel more than ever that the Government officials should make contact with the people with a spirit of self sacrifice and diligence in the application of the ad- * ministrative policies.” General Tojo cautioned officials against talking too much, especially concerning foreign countries; also for the protection of military secrets * and for the prevention of any spreading of fear among the people..
