MR NASH LEAVES
RETURN TO WASHINGTON WELLINGTON, Dec. 21J The Prime Minister (Mr Fraser) announced to-day that Mr Nash left New Zealand by air for Australia on hi's return journey Ro Washington where he will resume his post as New Zealand Minister to the United States. While in Australia Mr Nash will have discussions with Mr Curtin Doctor Evatt and other Commonwealth Ministers. It is expected that. Mr Nash will be away from New Zealand for several months. During) his absence his portfolio will be handled by other Ministers. Mr Sullivan will be Acting-Minister of Finance, Mr Nordmeyer Acting-Minister of Customs and Ac.ting-Minister-in-Charge of Land and Income Tax, and Mr Mason Acting-Minister of Stamp Duties.
