ACCIDENT AT STILLWATER

CAR AND TRUCK COLLIDE.

As_ a result of a collision at Stillwater yesterday afternoon between a car and a truck belonging to the Grey Electric Powei’ Board, two persons were admitted to the Grey River Hospital at about 3 p.m. They were Mrs. Janet Anthony, of Cross Street, Ashburton, who has severe lacerations of the scalp, and Louise Graham, aged 3, who has a broken right leg and a cut on the forehead. The driver of the car, Mr. Trevor Graham, a porter employed by the Railways Department at Stillwater, received lacerations of a hand and was treated at the hospital. The other occupants of the car, Mrs. Graham and her young son, and the two occupants of the lorry were apparently uninjured. ■> The car was coming towards Greymouth at the time of the accident. Mrs. Anthony is Mrs. Graham’s mother. The condition of the two hospital patients was stated last night to be satisfactory.
