HOUSEWIVES’ UNION

The monthly meeting of the Greymouth Branch of the Housewives' Union was held on Friday at 17 Guinness Street. There was' a good attendance, and two new members were enrolled. A fair amount of business was dealt with, including the proposed affiliation to the National Council of Women. The release of the Mosleys was also discussed, at which indignation was expressed, and a resolution of protest was passed requesting the New Zealand Government to make overtures to the British Gov. eminent to have them returned to prison. We wish to state that the meeting date has been altered to the last Friday of the month instead of the'Thursday, at 2 p.m. The usual cordial invitation is extended to all women.
