POST-WAR RELIEF

RUGBY, December 1. . Speaking at the conclusion of the U.N.R.R.A conference at Atlantic City, Mr’ Dean Acheson, United States Assistant Secretary of State, said a practicable relief programme has been achieved, the plans for implementing it through local legislation developed, and methods established to determine the needs of liberated areas and the men chosen to nut the programme into effect. Colonel Llewellin, Chairman of the European Committee of the United Nations Rehabilitation Relief Association, urged the 43 member nations to hasten their appropriations of two thousand million dollars for United Nations Rehabilitation Relief Association’s Fund to ensure the ability of the organisation to do its work. •
