Shop Workers’ Campaign

PUBLIC MEETING AT -INVERCARGILL

P.A. INVERCARGILL, Dec. 2. A unanimous decision to give full support to a campaign for the institution of a 40-hour five-day week for shop workers and others employed in businesses which normally ‘remain open on Saturday mornings was made at a public meeting to-night. It was decided to forward a motion to the Federation of Labour for presentation to the Government. ■
