NAVAL AWARDS
WELLINGTON, Det?. .I'. The King has approved the award of the D.S.C. to Temporary Lieutenant (A) R. J. Fisher, R.N'.Z.N.V.R. for a successful air operation against enemy shipping. Lieutenant Fisher, who was horn at- Te Karaka in 1917, joined the R.N.Z.N.V.R, in April, 1941, and proceeded to Britain for training with the Fleet Air Arm, His mother, Mrs R. B. Fisher, lives at Te Karaka.
