LAST MONTH’S RECORD (Rec. 12.52) NEW YORK, Dec. 1. • America produced nine thousand planes in November. This is the greatest number in history, says the “Herald-Tribune’s” Washington correspondent. This is equivalent to a complete plane every fine minutes.

The recent conference of Patriotic Councils held in Wellington decided to set aside a period each yfcar duning which funds will be raised for foreign nationals. This was reported to the Westland Provincial Council last evening by Mr. A. R. Elcock. Mr. Elcock said that the conference had been waited on by a deputation from the Society for Closer Relations with Russia, which had discussod the possibility of collecting funds for aid to Russia. The conference had decided that there should be no aid for allies out of the patriotic fund, but that a special period for that should be set aside so that people would know to what they were giving.
