BRIGADIER HARGEST

SAFE ARRIVAL IN ENGLAND. P.A. WELLINGTON, Dec. 1. Brigadier Hargest, who was recentlyi reported to have arrived in Spain, after having been some time in Switzerland where he went when he escaped from a prisoner of war camp in Italy, has arrived in England. Advice of his safe arrival was received by the Deputy Prime Minister (Mr. Nash) from the N.Z. Commissioner in England (Mr. W. J. Jordan). WELLINGTON, Nov. 30. “Everyone in the Dominion will be thrilled at the news that Brigadier Hargest is free,” Hon. W. Nash said, “and as the message I have receivea id from Wimbledon, he is obviously staying with Mr. W. J. Jordan (High Commissioner) whose home is there. I expect that, after he has had a good rest in London, he will be doing what he can to help there, prior to returning to the Dominion. ’
