ALREADY MEETING ? German Report [Aust. & N.Z. Press Assn.] LONDON, Nov. 29. According to the Berlin radio, Mr. Churchill, President Roosevelt and M. Stalin are already meeting at an undisclosed place. Commenting on reports of the meeting of Mr. Churchill, Mr. Roosevelt and M. Stalin to examine Gelman peace proposals, the National Broadcasting Corporation’s Cairo correspondent says:’ “I can state that the people who are responsible for our future are going ahead methodically to plan our operations without waiting for the enemy to make up his mind about peace.” Berlin radio stated Dr. Bernes, President of Czechoslovakia, was participating in the ‘‘big three” conference at M. Stalin’s express wish. PEACE TALK. LONDON, Nov. 29. The Secretary of State (Mr. Cordell Hull) told his Press conference in Washington that recurring peace rumours are false and circulated by enemy sources to create over confidence among the Allies and to impair the war effort. The Berne correspondent of the “New York Times” says: Armed with credentials from German economic and Army groups, Herr von Papen is reliably reported to be at Rome awaiting an audience with the Pope. Von Papen, who is a Catholic and a Papal Chamberlain, is understood to enjoy a favourable reputation in Vatican circles. He arrived in Rome from Munich after lengthy conferences with economic leaders, adds the correspondent. The Berlin radio denied that Herr von Papen was visitin ~ the Pope.
