MATINEE RACING
meeting at omoto on DECEMBER 11. Arrangements are being finalised for a matinee race meeting at Omoto racecourse on Saturday, Decembei 11, commencing at 1.45 o’clock, the programme will include galloping and trotting events, with the possibility of a match race between two ot the Dominion’s leading pacers, or alternatively a race against time in establishing a main for a West Coast grass track. The meeting is being sponsored by the Advisory Board of the Greymouth Branch of the Blanket Society and a special' train is being run from Greymouth. It is hoped to attract runners from Westport, Reetton Hokitika, the Grey Valley and locally and the meeting promises to be an outstanding success and at the same time a fitting full-dress rehersal for gallopers and pactirs engaged at Christmas and New Year meetings.
