The question of wages and conditions which has given rise to marked concern among the men for some time, was discussed to-day bjj what was described as one of the lar S gatherings of railway men ever heia in Wellington. A resolution was adopted guaranteeing wholehearted support to tne Executive Council of the A.S.R.>—_ in any action which it might deem necessary to advance the claims ot the meh in the matter.
