POST-WAR RELIEF

LONDON, Nov. 25. A message from Atlantic .City, U.S.A., where the U.N.R.R.A. is in conference, stated: The continued co-operation of the United Nations relief and rehabilitation administration, with other inter-governmental organisations, is recommended to the United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Council in a report adopted by the current session’s sub-committee on such relations. A report is being submitted to the committee on general policy by Eurico Penteado, .the Brazilian delegate, who is chairman of the* sub-committee. Dr M. Campbell, a member of the New Zealand delegation, is vice-chairman. If the report is adopted by the United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Council, as a whole, invitations will be extended to several inter-govern-mental agencies, other than the combined boards, to send observers to participate in future meetings of the council, its committees, subcommittees, and. meetings of the regional committees and technical standing committees of the United Nations Relief and' Rehabilitation Administration. The adoption of the report would authorise the DirectorGeneral to invite observers from specified organisations to participate in future council sessions without further .action by the council itself. The Director-General in turn would be urged to avail himself of other organisations as circumstances’warrant.
