New members, beginners and juniors are to be especially catered for. Correspondence was read from the New Zealand Tennis Association and other sources about arrangements made for the supply of balls to affiliated clubs, and steps were decided upon to ensure a supply becoming available to members as quickly as possible. Opening day was fixed for Saturday, the 30th inst., when a Yankee tournament to include allcomers is to be held, and a cordial invitation is extended to the public tu Le present. Club members expressed their appreciation of the interest taken by the public bn former occasions. Matches for the Auld Cup, Buttons and other competitive games are to start immediately. A mid-week challenge match between the Women’s Institute and Black’s Point is expected to be one of the early highlights. The meeting concluded with the election of several new members. This club should have a good season.
