BRITISH CARRIER
LENT TO U.S.A (Rec. 11.10) NEW YORK, Oct. 20. It is now revealed that the British aircraft-carrier * Victorous was lent to the United States Pacific Fleet to overcome its temporary shortage. The Victorious was launched in September, 1939. She participated in a Bismarck Sea action in May, 1941.
