REMOVAL OF SEED-TESTING STATION. CHRISTCHURCH, Oct. 20. The, request of the Canterbury Manufacturers’ Association for the transfer of the Government seedtesting station from Palmerston North to Canterbury has been refused. The Association has received the decision of the former Minister of Agriculture?'Hon. J. G. Barclay, in; a letter stating: “Such a step would involve many difficulties and I regret therefore that it cannot be given consideration under present conditions."
