[Our Own Correspondent.) Mrs.' G. Clay: is still a patient at the Grey River Hospital. Mr. R. Duggan, w'ho was a patient at the Grey River Hospital as a result of a motor-cycle accident, has recently been discharged. On Saturday the Runanga Croquet Club opened their season in beautiful weather. There was a large attendance of friends, and visiting players. The Mayor (Mr. E. W. Kennedy,) officially opened the green. The Mayoress (Mrs. Kennedy) played the first ball. Shoulder sprays were presented to Mrs. Kennedy, Mrs. W. Robertson (Vice President) and Mrs. .j. Wilson (Secretary). The following were the prize winners of the various competitions held: Putting, Mrs. R. Smith and Mrs. E. Kenneay; Dong shot, Mrs. J. Wilson and Mrs. W. Murphy; Golf croquet, Mrs. Hyland and Mrs. Patterson; Hurry scurry, Mrs. Higgins and Mrs. Ramage. Afternoon tea was served on the lawn.
