The death of Mr. Archibald Green at the age of 34 occurred in Greymouth yesterday. Born in Coal Creek, he had worked in the quartz mine at Waiuta and there had contracted miner’s phthisis. He had been in ill-health for the last eight years being in hospital for the past year. Besides his wife, two sons, and three daughters, he is survived by his mother, four sisters, Mrs. G. Smith (Westport), Mrs. W. Pender (Auckland), Mrs. R. Beckman (Christchurch), and Miss M. Green (Christchurch), and eight brothers, George, Vivian, Leslie, and William (all overseas), Arthur and Ray (Huntly), Albert (Greymouth), and David (Totara Flat). The funeral will take place at Karoro Cemetery this afternoon following a service at the Salvation Army Citadel.
