In New Guinea OVER 50 PLANES TAKE PART.

(Rec. 9.10) . SYDNEY, June 22. Japanese aircraft have been active in support of their ground forces fighting around Mubo in New Guinea. Throughout Sunday and again on Monday,, Japanese planes attacked the Allied positions. A total of fifty-three enemy machines took part, making sporadic hit and run raids. There were simultaneously ground patrol actions. Ten Japanese were killed a'nd eleven were wounded. The only Allied casualtji was one man wounded. Boston attack planes retaliated by strafing enemy positions. Japanese planes were over Norobe Harbour area, in North New Guinea, making ineffectual strafing attacks.
