New Jobs in ? Australia (Rec. 10.40) CANBERRA, June 9. Many Australian munition workers are to be transferred to aircraft building, shipbuilding, and other war industries. Thousands of operatives are expected to be affected. Announcing this, the Minister’ of Munitions said that the Commonwealth’s munitions effort had produced such magnificent results that the initial equipment needs of the service's had been substantially supplied, and the future production would cover replacements and reserves. Machines would be maintained to meet emergency orders for certain classes of munitions production which would oe slowed down.
