SENTENCES AT NAPIER.

P.A. NAPIER, May 20. In the Supreme Court at Napier prisoners were sentenced as follows: For negligently driving a lorry causing death, William Clarence Carson. of Dannevirke, was fined £25, in default three months’ imprisonment with hard labour. Albert Thomas Smith was placed on probation for two years on four charges of making a false declaration under the births and deaths legislation.
