KUMARA NOTES

Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Wise were passengers to Christchurch on Saturday last
Master Walter Benyon son of Mr. and Mrs. T. Benyon, is a patient in the Westland Hospital. Mrs. Rose and Master Geoff Rose are visiting Christchurch. Mr. L. J .Thwaites is visiting Christchurch. Mr. Vic Louden received a nasty cut on the hand while working in the bush at Turiwhati.
Mrs. G. King, Atarau, who is on holiday is the guest of Mr. and Mrs. D. Mclntosh. Mr R. Lee, Greymouth, paid a visit here on Saturday. Mrs E. Pellew of Nelson, is staying with Mr. and Mrs. Studholme. Mr.. Pellew is with the forces in the South Pacific. Misses Mary Steel, June Thwaites, and Jessie Reedy are spending their term holidays in Kumara. While at work in the bush at Blackwater, Mr. W. Hahn had the misfortune to have two fingers crushed by the bush loco, and ,nad to seek medical attention in Hokitika.
