npHE Factory Controller has issued the above-named notice (see N.Z. Gazette, May 13th, 1943) in force 17th May, 1943, revoking the Office Machinery Control Notice, 1943, without affecting any person’s liability for offence committed under the latter before 17th May, 1943, and directing and notifying as follows:— Except as hereinafter provided NO PERSON, FIRM or COMPANY shall SELL, HIRE, TRANSFER or otherwise dispose of, OR OFFER OR ADVERTISE FOR SALE any new or . used office machinery described in schedule below without the prior written consent of the Factory Controller, Wellington. Except in the case of the persons, firms or companies named herein every person, firm or company having for sale any of the office machinery scheduled below shall furnish to the Factory Controller, full written details thereof.

By the Notice the following persons, firms and companies are authorised to purchase, or acquire any new or used office machinery scheduled below, and must, within ten days after the close of each month furnish to the Factory Controller full written details of the office machinery acquired during that month, of the vendors’ names and of prices paid. Saturdays at 4.30 p.m., after the arrival of the Express from Christchurch, arriving Westport 7.15 p.m. Leave Westport for Greymouth same days at 10 a.m., to connect with the 2.30 p.m. Rail-car for Hokitika, ’Buses for Blackball, and the 5.42 p.m. Rail-car for Christchurch. GOODS SERVICE— The Freight Service will in future leave Greymouth for Westport at 9 a.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, and leave Westport for Greymouth at 9.30 a.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. It has been found necessary to make these curtailments in the interests of conservation of Petrol and Tyres.
