Finally to-night; “Great Guns” and “Tom Brown’s Schooldays.” Next attraction (commences to-mor-row Tuesday): “Night in New Orleans” and “Arizona Bound.” NIGHT IN NEW ORLEANS. New Orleans, city of colour and gayety —the Mardi Gras city—is the scene of murder, mystery and mirth in Paramount’s “Night in New Orleans,” which commences at the Opera House to-morrow (Tuesday).. Featuring Preston Foster, Patricia Morison, Albert Dekker, Charles Butterworth and Cecil Kellaway and is said to be jam-packed with thrills, chills and laughs. . ' The story concerns the rivalry of Foster and Dekker, both of whom are on the New Orleans police force. Foster is implicated in the mysterious murder of a well-known playboy who had been the recipient of flaming love letters written by Foster s wife, Patricia Morison, some years before their marriage. Foster and Patricia go on a hurried hunt for the real murderer and thereby hangs the exciting tale. Who the killer is remains a mystery until almost, the end of the film.

Universal’s new Irene Dunne comedv “Lady in a Jam is an hou and-a-half’s laugh relaxation. Its about a daffy can’t distinguish between principle and interest. Forced finally to a realisation that she is broke, the wonderfully daft girl leaves Kew York and goes West to Arizona to live with her fabously wealthy grandmother. Unfortunately the gnls grandmother proves to be a female Death Valley Scotty who hasn t a pot to cook with. She’s broke and she lives in a ghost town There'S an abandoned gold mine (which hasn t been worked in 40 years) and the exheiress starts to operate it on the beautiful notion that people should have faith and they 11 get what thej want. Well, two men appear opposite Miss Dunne in the comedy. One is as dEvffy as she. He’s Ralph Bellamy, playing a showoff cowboy. The other is Patrie Knowles, playing a sober man of science trying to straighten the kinks out of her mind. If you want to have a wonderful time see “Lady in a Jam.”
