Committee of Industrial Organisation executives at. a meeting to discuss wartime policy, adopted a resolution uring equitable wage adjustments for united mineworkers, also asserting; that the President, Mr. John Lewis has jeopardised the? miners’ just demands bv “exploiting injustices within the mining industry in furtherance of his personal political vendetta against President Roosevelt.” The resolution added: “The C. 1.0. must condemn the actions of Mr. Lewis and any others rejecting established procedures for equitable adjustments of labour’s true grievances.” Mr. Lewis consistently schemed to undermine duly established wartime agencies, which he sought in the present emergency to substitute although he must know that they endanger the existence of the nation apd the lives of millions of Americans at the warfronts.
