POLISH GESTAPO CHIEF KILLED.

RUGBY, May 10. General Kruger, Chief of the Gestapo in Poland, has been killed by Poles in Cracow, according to news reaching London. Poles disguised in German uniforms shot him, and escaped ini the dark. He died three days later. He was one of the Nazi leaders sentenced to death by the directoi'ate of Polish Resistance.. This organisation which works underground decorated the nation’s monuments in Warsaw on May 3 and succeeded in broadcasting Polish songs and speecn through street loudspeakers. DANISH STEEL WORKS DESTROYED. LONDON, May 9. An important steel work at Frederikshaven in northern Denmark has been destroyed by fire, according to a message from Stockholm. The damage is estimated at more than £160.000, and the loss of the works win be a serious blow to the Nazi-con-trolled machine industry in Denmark.
