INTEREST IN AUSTRALIA. (Rec. 11.30.) NEW YORK, May 11. “Many American soldiers will settle permanently in Australia after the war,” said Helen Hall, Director of Red Cross Clubs in- the South Pacific, who has returned from the Commonwealth. She added: “American soldiers see Australia as a land of post war opportunities, because of its large size and small population. Moreover the possibilities of colonisation development appeal to American instincts. __
